PHP For The World Wide Web; Larry Ullman. pages 267
A book for beginning PHPers. This book takes you through introductory essays on variables, statements, and programming structures. It is a great book for people who are interested in beginning programming.
The book is written in an easy to read two column format. (with text in the first column and examples or code in the second column.) The book gives you a good feel for the basic language, and is enough to get you adding some basic inactivity in a web page. I would rate the book a step or two above the typical dummy book...however I wouldn't recommend it to someone who is a already familar with programming C or Java. The book lacks the technical details that professional programmers like.
